The White Stripes make decent albums, but they still haven't made anything better than White Blood Cells.

As for them being talented or not, the fact that Jack White can create simple but unbelievably catchy guitar lines, while emulating bass sounRAB is all the proof I need.

It seems to me that, like many guitarists, you confuse talent with skill. The banRAB you list you admire mostly for their technical ability. Someone like Jack White is far from being the most skilled guitarist, but he is very talented.

Agreed. Technical skill does equal talent in a sense, but talent does not always equal technical skill. I really like a lot of White Stripes stuff.
