White strip at the top of the nail

I have a white stripe on the top of all my nails. This is the first time i have noticed this. Is it serious? it is just under where you would cut them, and looks similar to the area you cut..

Could it be froma cell phone..? i got one for the first time a week ago and have been using it non stop.. over 9 gigs of data. the phone is droid x and it has a SAR of 1.43.. ive hard that chemo gives you stripes on your nails sometimes..?
