We have a 64 litre quarantine tank and a 200 litre normal tank. Currently in the Q tank we have 2 Angels, 3 scissor tails, 2 neons, 1 Pleco and 5 Guppies. The 2 Angels are covered in white spot all over their fins and bodies and have been for nearly two weeks now. We have tried two different white spot treatments and the temperature is at 27.8C. None of the other fish appear to have it but I don't want to transfer them to the other tank just in case they infect the fish in there. The carbon filter has been removed and every other day we have been doing a 25% water change and gravel clean.
Why isn't it going? We are determined not to give up on our poor Angels.
Unfortunately we found that we got them from the petshop with a tank that had white spot.
We're doing everything we can to keep them happy. The PH is 7 and nitrates, nitrites and amonia are all 0. They've got bubbles in the tank. But we have removed all live plants as instructed to do so by the pet shop. We have also added anti stress and the white spot doesn't appear to be bothering their behaviour. At first the Angels didn't look too good as they were keeping to the top and swimming on their sides alot but now they are back to normal. Just covered in spots.
Going to give the baths a try though as due to the Pleco we've been halving the dosage of the meds so not to hurt him.
