White smoke from tailpipe of 1995 Ford Aerostar?

My 1995 Ford Aerostar (217K miles) started putting out white smoke from the tailpipe. I had an antifreeze problem where the heater hose broke and I put a patch job on the hoses to the radiator. I don't know if it's a coolant issue (I put more than a gallon of coolant in the radiator and it looks like I didn't put any in, but I don't see anything leaking anywhere) or some other issue.

If your car is trailing white smoke, it means lube oil is leaking into the engine and that's a main gasket leak. Sorry, but you're going to have big repairs there.
