White noise

I think it goes back to MDX's post up near the top, people went because of the supposed mystery. Our screen was almost full, and that was 20:15 on a Sunday night, so it is not surprising that it hit the no.1 spot.

Same thing happened with Open Water, which was dreadful.

Shame about White Noise - I was looking forward to it. Won't be bothering now.

Where has all the Horror gone...
:(

I still cant get over them calling Open Water "Jaws meets Blair Witch" .... I found both those films quite scary and completely incomparable to the mish-mash of Open Water.

Horror films/Psychological thrillers dont seem to "spook" me anymore. Its probably just me but once something original comes out everyone tries to copy it and repeat the same thing to death

I was disappointed after seeing the trailer.

I thought it was quite similar to Frequency in a way, but this time its dead helping him not his father.

Went to see White Noise last night and thought is was ok but not great. Open Water was total and utter crap - it was so short and just ended and I thought is that it - I was still waiting for it to get going at that point!

I saw white noise last night. 'Average' is all i can say about it. At Least my ticket was an orange wednesday's freebie- if it wasnt i would be wanting my money refunded.

The conversation 2 girls next door to me were having all the way through the film was more interesting than the film itself.

Luxxy - if you said you didn't waste a tenner going to see it, then claiming that it is rubbish; how do you know it is rubbish if you haven't seen it??

Those recordings are real... they were notmade for the movie, i saw it on um...richard and judy i think that was it, or the other daytime show and they had a voice analyst and what not there.. the voices didnt match to the humans voice thingy lol

sorry im not technical :o

went to see this yesterday, i thought it was quite a good film, i dont normally jump at many films but this one i did, my dad was shi*ting himself, lol.

i would give it a 7 / 10.

not the best of endings though as there as many unanswered questions.

dont think il be buying it on dvd though , will be too scared to watch it agen :D

white noise was dire - it was really badly paced, just sort of rushed into it with no real build up to michael keaton getting obsessed etc. and there was so much they didn't bother explaining.

open water on the other hand was brilliant, i can't believe people don't think so. seemed so *real* and when the sharks finally started to close in it was terrifying

open water was *really* a horror film - was more an examination of a couple's relationship and what happens when people are under pressure - joke about it, get worried, turn on each other, come together again

I can't believe you think Open Water was good - Yes I'll give you the fact that in that position it would be terrifying but it was extremely dull to watch.

I was very dissapointed with the film. I was expecting a superb, suspensefull horror movie but It was very dull, boring and the beginning dragged on for too long.

Even though White Noise was rubbish it has made enough money to have a sequel as Gold Circle Films president Paul Brooks said they're pushing ahead with a "White Noise 2". So I dont think I will be going to see that one!

pretty soon you'll have to consider this before going to the flicks-
'If I go and see this film and it's rubbish then the evil company that created it have already got my money and may push ahead with a sequel. Maybe I'll wait for the rental.'
:)
