White House and Congress Reach Tenative Debt Raise Deal

DepenRAB on many things, including if we see growth.

Deficit for this year is ~$1.4T, 2013 is projected at ~$1T with a slight reduction year after year possible.

Somewhere between an additional $5-10T over the next 10 years.
Taking $2T off that total is fairly substantial and a good start if the second phase works out completely.

the construction industry, whether people want to admit it or not, was propped up by the stimulus.

i mean....i dont think people realize how important these jobs are. when it comes time to replace everything in this country, its going to be harder, not easier.

I am looking at the single most complicated job i have ever seen right now..and im not convinced we won't get someone killed when a 150 year old brick sewer collapses with engineers inside of it.

i wouldn't categorize this as a song and dance...its more of a canary in the coal mine about where we are as a nation.

no unity whatsoever.

a very specific mention to taxes....

Oh and in for a second great depression. Now that government spending is cut, no one is going to be spending. Good bye economy and hello 25% unemployment

Considering that 50% of Americans don't pay federal income tax and probably just wanted a solution to make this go away regardless of what it was, ya you are probably right.

Plus he gets revenue increases when the Bush/Obama tax cuts expire.

Overall shit deal for America.
