Whispers In The Wind - What is your take on the message and how clear is it?

Often I have heard whispers in the wind,
Of a long-standing rule which I think you tempted to rescind,
In the dead of the night I can hear it best,
With my arms wrapped around you and our passion regressed,

I will not submit and give voice to my thoughts,
I have too long had my stomach tied up in knots,
I will wait and be patient for your resolve to break,
For the rule to bend and your heart to wake,

I have found a feeling more addictive than crack,
But how to proceed if you don’t feel it back,
How long do I wait to hear your thoughts be my own,
How long before I have no more seeds to be sown,

I shall wait and show that my feelings are real,
Through my temperance I will show my resolve to be steel,
It will come when I have erased all doubt,
That I have decided what I would not be without,

Should you spew fabrication just to appease my need,
You would find my response as empty as the deed,
My mind to wander and heart to doubt,
For the passion I had known to burn out,

I have found what I have been searching for and I shall wait,
I know not the time nor the date,
Do not be troubled but take heed,
I will wait till the end should there be need.
