what size tabletop would you try a whip for the first time on like 20- 30 foot i know you wouldnt want to go an a too little jump because getting it back would be hard
i am an experianced rider and have been racing motorcross for two years just want to give it a shot
i understand how to do it i just wanted to know what sort of size jump would be a good starter size

You need to try a whip on a jump that if you hit it a bit faster than you normally would then you would overjump it. The whip or scrub will then slow you down. I have seen this site posted a few times by others as having a good explanation of how to go about it and they explain much easier than I can so have a look at this site.

There was some darn nice whips at the recent Parramatta sx last weekend so if you can see the video of that even some of the juniors such as Dylan Long were pulling off some very nice ones over the finish line. Sx seems to be a lot more tolerant to doing the odd whip for show than in mx here.
