Whining and self pity, complaining?

Hello, one thing that I have discovered from the internet and reading so many people's opinions, is that whining is disapproved of a lot.

I find that when things go wrong for me, I do tend to feel depressed and unhappy, and want to give up because it seems in life that every thing tends to go wrong for me. Maybe this is because I am focusing on my failures.

Anyway, when things go wrong for you, do you just not complain and then try again? Do you ever vent?
Thanks!

I use to moan all the time because I couldn't cope with life how it comes.
or my disappointment that it couldn't be better - I never understood just how limited people were and that right now this is as good as it gets no one is holding out on me.
I am more settled now that I take the world on its own terms.

If I want to moan at least I am aware of it now and can ask my partner if I can give off to him without being taken seriously.

Whining is hard to listen to if it really is whiny but there are truths that people want/need to tell and that all of us could do with listening to - However denialists-r-us. I am finding that its not what you say but the way that you ay it that can get under the radar of practising denialists.

I think that you might be experiencing the same ups and downs as everyone else with a bit more sensitivity. When things go wrong for me I usually cry have a temper tantrum and my partner laughs at me and I gradually get some energy to laugh at myself and feel fit enough to get back in the saddle to try again. Its such a wacky world any which way you can manage your psyche without dumping on others is fine.

Yes you complain, and yes you whine, but to the right person, not to everyone otherwise they get sick of it very quickly if you do it to often.
Pick someone like a brother or sister or your mother, they are great for it and they'll never judge you.
So confide in your one or two people then get up leave it behind and start again. :)

I think people should just keep most of their minor problems to themselves, unlike most of the people on this site. Obviously some problems can only be solved by asking others opinions, and major problems need to be shared, but some people on this site moan and whine about irrelevant things.

'Strong people suffer in silence'

I think this site has almost an equal amount of people who need attention and whine, and people who just need to vent. Sometimes writing something down can calm you down or even help you solve a problem.
