I have the crank lined up with the LT mark on the alternator rotor aligned as the book says, but then it says to "position the camshaft so the locating pin faces upwards." I can't see anything that would look like a locating pin.
It's a parallel-twin, and you can tell from how the sprocket bolts line up that the very right cam lobe is either straight up or straight down.
