Which version of Blade Runner?

I quite fancy buying a copy of Blade Runner to give it a try, but which copy should I buy?

The original version (if it's still available)?
The Director's Cut?
The Final Cut?

Many thanks in advance!

Directors Cut and Final Cut are essentially the same.

The original version is fine, but I personally prefer the versions without the voiceovers and tagged on ending.

It's a tricky one because both versions have their merits. (Bearing in mind that Directors and Final are not vastly dissimilar).

I like the narration in the original because it makes it feel very film noir and I personally do think it adRAB something worthwhile. However the ending of both versions may possibly be the clincher for which version you prefer.

I believe that the Final Cut is more about polishing up Directors cut and getting it just about as perfect as the Director wanted.

If I were you I'd probably like to own both.
Possibly watch the original first, because that's what came first anyway, and then watch Final Cut.
Or maybe you'd like to watch Final Cut first because that was how the director wanted it to be like?

They're both very good either way so it's difficult to advise you one way or the other.

the 5 disc box is available at very low prices now buy that and get all of them in one place - better you decide which is the best version.

the set is worth it alone for the documentary and if your feeling rich and have blu ray get it on that the us version is cheaper and its all region :)

I've got the briefcase edition, which is rather lovely with the hologram and the models and stuff but it's definitely worth every penny, just for the documentaries alone. Favourite cut? probably The Director's.

Even in HD any version including the workprint will send you to sleep

The UK was ripped off by Warner again and we never got the 5 disc Bluray edition.

The US 5 disc Bluray with every version in HD (instead of the UK's 2 discs) can be bought for little over
