Which verizon phone?

Im a non hacker(i MIGHT hack my phone if i got 1 that i could do a ton to, but all in all, i have no reason to). Basically i use my phone for calls, & custom mp3 ringtons, possibly a few GIN games.

I dont use a ton of the menus, so slow menus dont bother me(i still have a LG VX7000 with the origional FW on it, the 1 where it takes 2 seconds to answer after u open the flip)

Im basically looking for a solid phone, looks nice, does ring THEN vibe or vibe n ring at the same time, color screens in & out, & possibly stereo speakers with mp3 player capabilities, but only if i can move mp3s with a datacable.

This may look like im asking a lot, but from reading a LOT of posts on these forums, im asking a ton less than most of the users here.

Any suggestions? Im currently looking at the a950, a970, 8100, razr(doubtful) & the e815.

Look under the verizon forums you will find all your answers there you want mp3 that leaves razr out okay the a950 and a970 have poor call qaulity from what im reading under the samsung forum you can read more there the e815 is my choice but you might want to read under all the sub forums on these phones .

I own the 8100. It's an excellent phone. It does everything pretty well. The voice command is terrible and the camera is OK at best for 1.3 mp rating, otherwise I'm real pleased with it. I really wanted to like the E-815. I went to the Verizon store with the intention of buying it after hearing great things about its RF. Upon getting there I was displeased with both the design and more importantly the build quality. It felt like a toy compared to the 8100.I just couldn't get past that despite consumer reports top rating for a Verizon phone. The odd thing is consumers rated the 8100 RF one notch above the 815. Go figure. I did look at the a950 which is virtually identical to the 8100 in features. The 8100 was $50 less at the time so that steered me towards the LG. I hear the pricing is reverse now with the 950 being $50 less than the 8100. I'd still get the 8100 with the current price because I've enjoyed using it from day 1. The a970 is a different story as it's a big step up in price, time will tell if this phone justifies its price. I know the camera is 2mp, but I'm not crazy about the rotating flip on the phone.Something else to break in my mind. Enjoy your shopping
