Hello,
I am currently going through the delightful, not-stressful-whatsoever process of finding a University to go to in '10. I know that you shouldn't choose a University before choosing a course, but I'm quite keen on UEA and University of Kent (Canterbury) right now. However, I would be interested to know which Universities are considered to have the best maths faculties. Bear in mind however, that I won't quite have done well enough in my ASes to go to Oxbridge, Warwick, Durham, anywhere in London, or anywhere disgustingly prestigious like that etc.
To earn additional brownie points from me, any advice on what I should actually DO with my maths degree would be appreciated. I have no idea what I'd be suited to. Considered accounting, actuarial, engineering, but can't think! I'd like to have a bit more of an idea what paths I'd like to follow so that I can pick a Uni with a maths course that is more tailored to that career path. I'd like something which involves a heavy use of mathematics if possible.
