Which type of smartphone do you suggest?

Okay so I am looking into smartphones. I am currently using a dummyphone, (first generation Sanyo Katana) on Bell Mobility. Im looking at HTC Hero BB9700 was thinking Palm pre but not so sure anymore on it, theres the Samsung Galaxy and Omnia 2.

I dont use Google for anything other then searching and locating. So from my understanding android is BIG with Google (would an android phone still be good for someone who does not use google for what its come to be in recent years??)

Can anyone give me some information on what they have found when looking into Smartphones? Thanks
 
What do you need the device to do and how do you plan to use it?

Have you done any research yourself?

What features are important?

I assume that you are staying with Bell?
 
I want to stay with Bell I will be calling into retentions as I can probably get a better plan through Rogers corporate with my work. I have done a fair bit but as it stands those are the phones Im down to. I am not into leadership at my place of work so having a work email pushed to me would be of help at this time. Im thinking WIFI as Bell offers free WIFI at Starbucks locations and I work in the same building as one I might find myself there for more breaks. Im thinking that 3 years ago I had just got an IPod and now Im wanting to condence my accessories down so having music play back would be a good thing. Not sure if I would like a touch screen over an actual hardware keyboard as I have a phone that only has the multi press to get 1 letter and all that jazz. use Windows on home PC and have only used windows. and use Live Messenger would be nice aswell.
