I set it to port 80 because lots of ISPs do not use Comcast-style filtering (aka Sandvine) and therefore they are not legally allowed to block the same port as your HTTP (world wide web browser) port.
PX, which country are you in? Have you ever tried taking a laptop to a local internet cafe to see if the speeds went up?
