Yeah, I was like that as well as a teen...but I've grown to really respect and admire poetry, through writing it and reading it.
 
Robert Frost and W.H. Auden.

When I was younger, I thought poems were lame, but they've grown on me significantly.

haha. grown on me significantly. i rhymed.
