posted this in General but was hoping for quick responses
also posted in Samsung forum but now seeing what you Motorola folks have to say

k dilemma here
need a different phone after using the Nokia 7280 for about a year and now branching off of Nokia as i have been using them for the past 7years haha

anyways, originally i was set on the SLVR but i saw the Samsung D820/T809 on omegacells main page and was drawn to it so did some further research on it and it seems pretty good!!
so far bad things for the samsung is bad build quality, some volume troubles and mp3 set as ringtones(although now know how to make it work thanks to this forum )
ADD: also dust problems...unable to Ring AND Vibrate, as well as ascending ringers

these things im just not liking, hoping the SLVR doesnt have these problems as well

and then theres the Motorola SLVR and so far havnt read much bad things about it but im sure there has got to be some!!
i heard having to transfer mp3s to the phone to be able to set as a ringtone and you cant use the Transflash card like a USB Mass Storage like the Samsung

and i know that they both are pretty different in price range but the Samsung does have a better camera and screen so i dont care much of the price difference

so...any help on which phone to get and why you think it is better than the other would be greatly appreciated

oh ya i know haha it is a motorola forum thats why i posted in both hah

btw i personally hate iTunes
going through it on the Rokr pissed me off so much so...ya hah so im prob just going to use whatever the SLVR comes with if i decide to get it

I woudn't go with either model. Take a good look at the Samsung D600 instead. Much better performance and build quality than the T809. The L7 is a pretty decent phone, but for a side-by-side comparison, click here:

This should give you a reasonable overview of the phones. You've obviously already browsed some of the comments and posts within the forums.

Good Luck.
