Hi guys i am currently with sprint. I am due for an upgrade in april. I have been looking at some of the phones that sprint has and i am not sure which to get. I am trying to decide out of the KRZR K1m, Sanyo M1, LG Fusic, and the RAZR. I am looking for a phone that has a good enough battery life to get me through the day i may talk 1-2 hours 3 at the most a day, and send 15-20 text messages a day. I want a phone that is going to have great call quality. Also i would like the speakers to be good enough where ringtones don't sound like a distorted mess. So any suggestions from people who have used any of these phones would be great.

Does anyone have any suggestions i think so far i am leaning towards a motorola phone because they seem to do very good as far as reception goes.

I have the RAZR V3M .. for what you indicated your usage would be, you'll be happy with this phone. I am extremely happy with it. I looked at the KRZR and thought ..oh cool ..just another RAZR ..no big bell or whistle except it's $200 more than a RAZR.

Tips on battery life:
- turn off bluetooth if your not using it
- make the phone "ask" you to use Power Vision
- minimize the "back light" time on the display
- turn off vibrate
- turn your phone off at night

I get 2 and 3 days of useage this way before I charge the phone again.
Mind you, the best bet is plug it in at night too.

If your a heavy user of the bells and whistles, you can get a extended battery and new back cover (thicker for the battery).

The RAZR has extremely good RF reception and call fidelity. This is the best phone I ever had..

PS .. If you order the phone via the Sprint.com site, ask "virtual Jessica" (when she pops up) if you can have a $50 invoice credit (beg her if need be).
This will zero out the $49 cost after rebates. There is no shipping or start up costs (at least that was the case in Dec'06). I actually made $19.00 on my deal last year.

Try ...RWC50 ... for an invoice credit ...

Thanks for the advice the Razr is nice idk for some reason i really like the look of the KRZR. I will have to go look at it again. I am also really likeing the Q too. If anyone else has any advice or suggestions i would love to hear them thanks.

Maybe in April, you don't continue with Sprint and don't continue with its contractual agreement. Just continue paying on month-to-month bases for ONE more month.

And THEN in June, migrate to Cingular (by then it should be "at&t") and get an iPhone.

I would love to do that but here is the problem my contract is still going for another year and a half or so cause i changed my plan back in november and i had to sign a new 2 year contract then. The only reason i changed my plan was i could get more minutes for less. I ended up saving like $10/month on my plan as well cause they inlcuded alot of the features i was paying extra for on my old plan. Also Cingular in my area isn't that great. I CAN'T make calls from my house at all. Sprint is the only provider that works at my house. So i am going to just wait 2 years and then get an iPhone and by then they will have any bugs worked out and it will be that much better cause they will be on the 2nd or 3rd generation of the iPhone.

alarsen77, you seem to know a great deal about gagets, phones and things...knowing about bugs would be worked out by 2nd or 3rd gen for iPhone.

But I hope you do know that iPhone is on GSM network and not CDMA (Sprint/Verizon)--and they are not compatible. Thus, if your area works best with CDMA network. Stay with sprint. Because iPhone will be exclusive for at least 2 (possibly 5) years with Cingular (at&t).

Thus, iPhone is out of the question for you. Unless you move to an area with good GSM signal.

Unless after 2 (hopefully not 5) years, Apple will revert themselves and have the iPhone in CDMA (as it was supposedly be on Verizon) network. I think you heard the story that was reported, about Apple contacted Verizon but didn't come to an agreement. So...Cingular.

Or unless, Cingular put new towers in you area.

Good luck with your search for a new phone. Q might come to Sprint. I'd do research on that.

Oh i know it is cingular only that is why i am going to wait 2 more years and hope that cingular gets better here or by that time i may have moved. Sprint has the Q but it is going to be $300 with a $100 rebate bringing it to $200 which is a bit expensive up front. I love the phone but i am not sure i like it that much. If i could get it for the $200 with the $100 rebate bringing it to $99 then i would definitely get it. But that rebate has to be postmarked by April 1st and i can't upgrade till April 1st and that is a sunday so no way to postmark it by that day. So basically i just have to hope there is a better sale on it next month or find a different phone to get.
