I'm debating between two phones.

1. Qtek 9100

2. Eten M600

-Which is better, the only thing that makes me want the qtek more is the qwerty keyboard.
-The eten has twice the processor speed.

PLease Give me any other useful information that can help make my decision easy.

Thanks in advance

the eten is pretty powerful.. its faster..

but unless u need that much speed... the qtek is just fine as you can overclock the qtek to 270mhz or higher if you wanted to. i use the qtek 9100 myself and i love it. the keyboard is awesome. it could use more speed tho.. but i overclocked mine.. and its just fine.

I read the review on mobile-review.com and they posted that the q-tek's processor makes it difficult to play movie clips (66.7%) play rate; meaning many frames were dropped.

Do you have any problems with that issue.

And....how is the wifi compatability?

wifi is great.. and to be honest. i dont'w atch many video clips on my qtek.. just cause i have a sharp.. which is a much much better screen to watch videos. i use the qtek as a work phone really. but the wifi usage is good. i use it quite often. there's alot of hotspots around the areas i work and meet clients.. so its good

I was using a treo 650 and i found the qwerty keyboard a necessity. Do you think the eten would be ok even though it doesn't have the keyboard (rather handwriting recognition)

I've never had a PDA without a keyboard, is it easy to work around it. (ie using fingers to dial or stylus???)

have you looked at the bell utstarcom ppc 6700? it has a 400mhz processor with a keyboard as well, I have the same Issue as you, I need a keyboard and even though I think the ETEN is a great device, the lack of a keyboard is a disadvantage atleast for me, Its all about need, if you are going to email or text message a lot then get the qtek 9100 or the ppc 6700, the qtek is a great device with an omap 200mhz processor which is good for battery life but may not be as fast as the ppc6700 or the eten so if ur going to be running a lot of apps or watching movies, I say go for the faster processor.I dont have a lot of ppc experience but am just giving u the info I received through this great site and its members as I too am looking for a new ppc

it works wikkedly.. its great i use it all the time when i'm in meetings and bored. it runs smoothly.. its like regular msn but mobile version.. less options

How do you overclock the Qtek (or any other PDA) ......and if you do overclock, does that affect the phone in any negative way??

I guess you can overclock the ETEN m600 too.

Thanks for the link darklord2005.............

How does the Qtek 9100 compare to the Treo 650??? (BEtter/Worse?)

IS there a paint peeling issue for the housing of the qtek 9100???

Personally I feel the Qtek 9100 is a better phone because its windows based so you can customize it more, this is my opinion as I am a windows user, the QTEK also has wifi built in whereas on the 650 it has been removed and even the hack for the treo 650 does not work properly.I think the QTEK also has a faster processor and is not as common as the 650, given the choice between the two I would go for the QTEK anyday.Regarding the peeling, I think all phones after a while will fade or peel, I dont know if the QTEK peels faster, I havent heard of any such issue.

treo is palm based and qtek is windows! you cant really compare both devices, yes the treo maybe faster but the qtek has an omap processor which is considered more efficient, treo 650 is fairly old now too isnt it? I was thinking abt a treo first too but after my gf got it and I saw what a piece of crap it was I didnt want it anymore.

I'm thinking ordeing from www.gbtmobile.com for $499. They are about $100 cheaper than the rest of the online retailers, and I don't need a 2-years warrantly because I will change phone by that time.

Anybody have placed their order yet and where?

Regards,
Robert
