Which Palm?

My last Palm was the T3 and I loved it but it was damaged when the house was hit by lightning. I was unable to replace it - I couldn't find another one with the white screen (not the blue tinted version), the reason I bought it in the first place.

For a year or so I've been using an iPAQ 4150, a good looking piece of kit which does everything I want . . . except it isn't a Palm. PPC is OK but I much prefer Palm.

I like the look of the new TX. Would you recommend it? Or can anyone suggest how I can guarantee getting a T3 with that all-important white screen?

I don't know how you would get a T3 with (guaranteed) white screen. You might e-mail Chris Short [email protected] for an idea what he would charge for repair on your T3. I have had Chris do work and I can highly recommend his work.

As for the TX, it is the best handheld I have ever owned and that goes back to the original Palm Pilot 5000 (1996). As much as I love my T3's, the TX is the one I carry and like to use. If you decide to get the TX I don't think you will be disappointed.

I love my TX. The build in WiFi is just so cool. I live in the country and, of course, we have no hotspots. Last night, we went to town for dinner. The restaurant had an access point. So cool.

At any rate, I love the WiFi hotsync, the big screen with landscape, and the rest of the features. I'd certainly buy another if I lost this one.

I've had a few problems but nothing serious. I'd say "Go for it".
 
I like my TX very much, I don't even use the wifi that much, but I like the bright, vivid screen and how easy it is to use.

I too went back to a Palm after using a PPC, somehow the PPC was just never as easy or intuitive to use. :/

I don't know what this "white screen" is ......
 
I'd go with the T/X as well I have had my share and for the most part this is working very well for me. (iv'e only had it 2 weeks now) lol
