Hello All, new here :-)

So, my contract is up, and Telus has offered me the talk 25 CEPP plan, and I am planning on renewing with them. So, time to get a new phone. I am pretty much lost in the wilderness when it comes to all these new phones, as I am using a Sony Ericsson T206 right now. I had an LG535 Slider in there, but the POS completely died just out of warranty.

So, the above, which do you all recommend as being the phone for me?

My criteria (in order of importance)

1) must work well as a PHONE. I dont care if its a pain to text, or do internet, because anything is easier than what I have. It will be used for many minutes a month, and I just want it to work well.

2) DURABLE. The T206 has been dropped, thrown, and used as a hockey puck, and refuses to die. I fully realize that the current generation of fashion accessories wont take the pain like my Sony, but which one will hold up best to the occasional drop?

3) Cheap to operate. Meaning: I can transfer music to and from and use my own mp3 ringtones and also transfer pics from it without paying more to Telus. I just cant justify $4 for 10 seconds of song when I can get the whole song from iTunes for $1.

So far what I have heard/read:
RAZR: easy as ever to hack/transfer/whatever. Just get PhoneTools. Voila! I have also heard it is hit or miss in quality. Some have zero problems and love it, some have just crap. I have played with, and I like the screen and feel.

A720: Works well as a phone, and all the other fun features, but the Telus UI makes it a pain for everything else. I have to admit, seeing a demo unit, I didnt like the interface (and thats coming from a T206!!) I am not even aware if I hack it if I can get pics off it without spending more on a memory card, knowing I have to still buy the data cable. I really like the look of this unit.

A950: does everything the A720 does but comes with a memory card and data cable. I like that, its a cheap feature, but I now have to go through some effort to hack it (no big deal) and I have heard nothing to compliment its durability and useability. I have never personally touched a live model, but the in store unit is "OK" for looks. Nothing fancy, really just another phone.

So, theres my rant. Any comments?
