Which one to choose : N70 or 7610 ?

I'm really confused. I've decided to take either a 40 hours used N70 or a Brand New 7610. What do you say ? Which choice is wise ?

How do you know if the cell has been used for 40 hours ? The dealer said its a 40 hour old one but I'm skeptic. Is there any way ? The mobile is a Finland made N70. I heard warranty card isn't supplied with it. Is it true ?

Please tell me your opinion. I would highly appreciate it.

i dont like buying 2nd hand phones, but that's just me...

N70 is definitely better than 7610...

even if it is made in finland, if it is being sold by an official local nokia dealer/distributor in your country, then it should come with a local warranty...

Slow? Let's See...With the N70 you get stereo output, a much better camera (with Flash btw) , an FM Radio, more internal memory, better construction, better keypad, newer operating system which is a lot more stable, a better polyphonic ringer, better screen with more colors and better Looks. And that doesn't warrant a couple of milliseconds?

Forget ever using the 7610 as a music player.

You can check how much the phone has been used by using the Warranty code i.e. *#92702689# which you can type on the standby screen.

Good luck?

Get the 7610, it's stylish and replaceable covers. 7610 is one of the phones I like, I think I will buy that phone for my backup someday. I don't like buying second hand phones either, you never know if they have memory problems or scratches.

N70 all the way.... i have both... and there is no comparison... 7610 is way old and if you think the n70 is slow.... the 7610 is SUPER slow Camera on n70 rules... hotswap cards... ive had my n70 for few years now and its the best phone ive used so far..

n70 is one of the most stable and good symbians. 40 hours is not that much. use the code written before by one of the posters. 7610 doesnt even have the decency of supporting mp3 as ringtones.

The dealer wasn't telling the truth. It is about 4 months. Now what do you say ? Well, the code,#92702689#, didn't work. :-(.

But, I figured out the time by looking up some photos that were on the phone. One doubt. The phone has some pictures. A picture is 4 months old. Does that mean that the phone is 4 months old or is it the date when it was taken in any other device ?

And, it doesn't seem to have any problems what so ever.

I don't know how much we can help. If the code didn't work, I don't think there is anyway of knowing how much the phone has actually been used.

The N70 is almost two generations ahead of the 7610. It really is a much better phone, contrary to what many people say.

So, its finally up to you and whether you mind using a second hand phone or not.

What I recommend is looking at the N70 carefully for general wear and tear. One very important thing is having a look at the battery. If u think it looks dodgey, move on.

Good Luck.
