Which one is better?! ps3 or xbox 360? its a great debate! i need to know! which...

Depends on what you want. The online multiplayer, and exclusive games on xbox are better, but the multimedia capabilities and system power are better on PS3. It really depends on what kind of gamer you are.
 
it depends. 360s have a lot bigger game selection than the ps3 obviously b/c of the time difference between releases. and if you get a new xbox it should be fine because they fixed the red ring. and even if it does get the ring you can send it in for free and they fix it for free too. ps3's are really good too becasue of the size of the hard drive and the recent price drop to $300. the ps3 contoller is pretty much the same as the ps2 except for the wii like feature where you can steer by tilting it in different directions. and the controllers come with a charging cord. and then there are the games specifically made for those two systems like halo and fable for the xbox and uncharted for ps3 and many others. but since the ps3 has the bluray feature, thats what i would go for.
 
Xbox 360

It has a better selection of games, better online multiplayer and downloable content. Most PS3 lovers keep complaining about the 360's failure rate, but thats all they can say. So apparently it is better than PS3 when excluding that ONE thing.
 
PS3's are more reliable. Over 60% of all xbox 360s manufactured to date have broken down. Furthermore, PS3 offers online gaming for free. PS3's will be around longer than the 360s, so if you want your money's worth, I would go for the PS3.
 
I personally like the xbox better because it has more games that I like compared to the Ps3.

Xbox is for MLG Gamers serius ones that are looking for a fun but yet competetive edge . ps3 is more the pick up and pla system dont get me wrong the full web browser and free online account is awsome but the 360 is just more GAMER formed. and PLUS 360 got i belive better exclusive games ( crackdown , left 4 dead , halo , GEARS ) and the series for those are only expanding
 
Xbox offers a higher variety of blockbuster action/adventure games--Modern Warfare 2, Wet, Halo...etc. However, it is made more cheaply than Playstation. There have definitely been more reports of the Xbox going fry-o.

Playstation is going to have more in-depth, story driven games, as I see. Metal Gear Solid 4 (AWESOME!), Heavy Rain, and the like.

If you are looking for superb FPSs, definitely go with the Xbox. Playstation is very pricey, anyway.
