Which OLD Cartoons Are Popular With Kids Today?

Yeah but they are constantly being re-released on DVD. I remember when I was a little kid, I didn't watch them much on TV. I mainly had them on video.

The thing with Looney Tunes is that they're an animation showcase. They rely heavily on visual gags. Script wise, they don't offer much beyond characters trying to eat each other. From a POV of a gag-animation connosseur, Looney Tunes are the "bee's knees". Much of the sophistication of these cartoons come from a visual standpoint, and understanding these gags sometimes requires a bit of life experience.

I will say that as a kid, I was not a big fan of LT. I watched them, but I was more into Tom and Jerry and The Pink Panther. For me, The Pink Panther basically was all mood and of course the music, which I used to hum all the time. Tom and Jerry satiates the inner sadist of every child. But LT is probably a little more sophisticated than that, which is why they've often always been more for gag animation fans.

Considering that the Pink Panther staff were mostly made up of former Looney Tunes artists (including Friz Freleng as the producer), that thought is interesting.

The thing is that if it's airing a lot on TV it's as a result of good ratings. A channel isn't gonna air something just for the heck of it. The ratings have to be good! So, if Aladdin is airing all the time while they others never air then there's reason to believe that Aladdin is the only popular one.
