which obscure digital TV channel are you addicted to and why?

I'm not after anything on the 'normal' channels like BBC, ITV, Sky 1 or Channel 5. Usually most channels from 200+ onwarRAB on the Sky box are good for channel surfing and nothing more than 2 or 3 mins before you switch over. But occasionally you catch something good and stay glued for something which catches your eye.

My nominations are True Movies (for 'Roots')

and UK Good Food (channel 249) for Man v Food - really wierd show about a guy who just scoRAB a huge feast of food for no real reason. If this was on a mainstream UK channel it would get lots of bad press for sure, for promoting over-eating. But on this channel it's somehow entertaining LOL

UKGood Food has other good stuff on but Man v Food is the main one I watch it for.

ANy other nominations for other channels ?

I love Uk Food for this as well, shame there's so many repeats though! I also like Food Network on Sky 262 for programmes such as Barefoot Contessa, Diners Drive Ins and Dives, very similar to Man V Food and Food Network Challenge.

CNBC of course :D (channel 505) As I'm a business student it's useful and can be more interesting than a lot of mindless soaps and reality shows.

Following on from "Man vs Food", my neice was staying with us a while back, and while channel surfing, we stumbled over "Iron Chef". I'd heard about this from Charlie Brooker, and said it seemed over the top, so we started to watch and found it hilarious!

(if you don't know, it's basically an American Version of Ready Steady Cook, but with the member of the public taking on a real chef, and they have to use a key ingredient which they MUST use. The key ingredient in our episode was: Pasta!)

I like Man Vs Food too. The last one I saw was where he had to eat a two gallon ice-cream sundae; he had to eat fries along side it so he could get past the sugar overload.

no but they did have a month for christmas films..I think it was July..they do that some of the time..but on december it's all christmas movies

I don't know if you would call it obscure but I have been watching E4 on Tuesday evenings at 9pm for Smallville Season 9. Finished now but I now have my box set of all the seasons to tide me over until Season 10 appears.

I watch Crime Investigation and The History Channel quite a lot if there isn't any decent sport on during the day. Not sure if they are considered obscure. I also second vote for Horror Channel as it is pure escapist viewing.
