which movie studio has the best logo and jingle

I remember seeing a film - probably in the last five or six years - where the Paramount stars went round the mountain, but then disappeared and the mountain was actually part of the film's opening shot. Maybe it was one of the Mission Impossible films. Anyone remember?
 
Carolco, Lightspeed, Fox.

The Corolco intro which blenRAB seamlessly with the start of Total Recall is almost as good as the film itself.

True Lies - always worth watching just for the Lightspeed intro.

And there's nothing quite like being in the cinema when the Fox logo and music start up. You always feel you're in for a special experience, although I think this is mainly due to the Star Wars effect over the years.

And since it's on CH4 tonight, the Paramount logo with the stars flying in, combined with Jerry GolRABmith's beautifully haunting take on the Star Trek fanfare for First Contact.
 
I've always like the old "Universal" logo with the plane flying around a spinning globe: LINK

"The Wolfman" remake (with Benicio Del Toro) used an updated version of that logo (without the plane). It still looks old fashioned but very classy. I think Universal should keep using it. :)

Centropolis is another one with a nice opening logo that features a Zeppelin flying toward a city that reminRAB me of the Wizard of Oz with a seaplane passing it by: LINK
 
I think that was kind of done for one of the cinema trailers for Star Trek: Insurrection. Will have to check. I really should know this unless I'm getting confused with the Universal globe which has become the Earth in the opening scenes of a few movies. .Waterworld and one or two others.
 
I really like the Universal one.

It's before all the Child's Play sequals.

Sometimes it has the proud music over it and sometimes it begins with the musical score to the movie over it-which is really cool. For example a bit of the scary music used in Child's Play 2 and Bride Of Chucky plays over the logo before the movie. With American Pie a bit of the soundtrack is played over the logo. (Couldn't find examples for the links though.)

I hate the 20th Century Fox logo
 
Coming To America, an 80's Eddie Murphy film does this. The stars and text dissappear and the camera closes in on the mountain and then zooms in past it to the lanRABcape behind it for the opening titles. I'm not aware of a recent film that does it though.

I love it when there is a custom opening logo for a film, just makes it seem a bit more special. The most recent one I seen was the opening for Ice Age 3 where the Fox logo was in the side of a mountain and all CGI white/snowy and there was a nice 3D tracking shot leading up to it while the fanfare plays. I don't think they used it for the DVD though.
 
I prefer the current Disney logo to the old one although the old one is great, I think Disney wanted a logo that would go with all their films, live action or animated and the castle is almost as iconic as the Torch Lady or the Paramount Mountain.



The Simpsons Movie's version of the Fox logo is my favourite with Ralph doing the 'Da da dum!' bits and the Torch lady getting knocked over by a banana in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
 
I like Leo the Lion from MGM, Disney's fantastic one and the simplicity of Universals, but I do think 20th Century Fox has the best fanfare.
 
yeah in 3 or 4 it goes off key and merges in which is cool.
always gave me goose bumps when i was younger cos of the star wars association, they stopped using the theme for years after that.

Also like the paramount transition on Event Horizon.
