G GreasyCoffee New member Jun 27, 2009 #2 Not much difference between the major brands, but for high mileage vehicles, i ALWAYS use 20w - 50, it seals the pistons and prevents smoke... Good for older engines.

O oldwolf1951 New member Jun 27, 2009 #3 My personal choice is Castrol. If you are talking about type like 5/30 or 10/40 weight oil, you need to check what is recommended by the manufacturer.
