I'm a 22-year old college graduate who just got a BA in English. I'm looking at the military for a chance to see more of the world, get money to help pay off my student loans and future education, and for on-the-job skills. I have heard that commissioning would be the best opportunity for me, but I'm not opposed to enlisting for better sign-on benefits or whatever.
In the civilian world, I'm interested in emergency management. Ideally, I'd love to be a scene commander at a disaster telling people what to do, so I'm looking into firefighting.
