I live in Australia and I want to upgrade to a middleweight bike in a years time. I've narrowed it down to these two bikes. I will buy brand new current model.

Can people who have experience with these or similar bikes give their opinion.
Oh yeah I currently ride a Honda VTR 250 (V TWIN). I am wondering if a 600cc 4 cyl will pull harder than my bike from a standstill? I've ridden a CBR 250RR and it had less go off the line then my bike. I like low end torque.
