i don't mean like kung fu fancy moves and dances, like moves that wont leave openings and make you an easy target, i know it's recommended to learn all types and get the most beneficial techniques and stuff but which one builds up on your defenses, technique, skill, and discipline, and teaches you more on the art of fighting that's good at grappling and/ or striking martial arts

any reality fighting style, Krav Maga is a mixed style that takes techniques from various styles including muay thai, boxing, jiu jitsu, judo, wrestling, aikido, ect. ect ect. it takes moves that work in real combat.

combat sports.
muay thai, boxing ect.

combat sports train you for compitions where the goal is to knock the other guy out while not getting knocked out. (much like a street fight). because of this they dont teach what doesnt work.
they wont teach a tornadeo kick because those miss alot and leave you open to a knock one. it only takes one punch to knock someone out so you cant drop your guard for a second.

even tho tkd has tourtements its still not effective. in alot of kata martial art tourtements there is no punching and no head shots...thats not how a street fight will work.

actually ther are kung fu styles that focus on self-defense soley. Like Wing chun , Xing yi, shuai jiao wrestling.

But, what you are talking about, you need something that is designed for the streets

Ninjitsu and Krav maga is the best.....and cross train in other styles too, ...whether it be Bjj,karate.....ect. Every stlye has unique points

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or Judo would benefit the you the best in a real life situation. Most Street fights are about 90 seconds long and end up in a grapple in one way or another.

Kung Fu and Taekwondo have cool looking moves and make great Fight Scenes in action movies. However in Reality your opponent isnt always going too just punch and kick. What if you spend 10 years Training in Taekwondo then when your at a Bar some 200 pound Guy tackes you too the ground and mounts you ? Your pretty much screwed.

Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu put more emphases on REAL LIFE fighting and in the Real world your going too need some type of Ground Fighting.

muay thai its aggresive and defensive you have an extremely tight guard it consits of 8 weapons leg foot hand elboe knee and grappling
