Which lens if bettter for landscape photography, the Canon 17-40mm or the Canon 10-22mm

??? I've narrowed down to those two lens to buy.
I'm getting my government check soon and will burn it on a wide angle lens. I'm going to use it for alot of landscape.
Money is no object, I tell him which one is better and why.
