Which is the negative wire speaker and which is positive?

Hi,

I have a honda civic lx 2003, i have bought 2 new speakers for the front doors. i have installed them and i have noticed that the deck gets really really hot. when i took out the cd it was almost too hot to touch,

It didn't heat at all before.

Could this be because i wired the negative and positive wires on the speakers wrong?
