Looking at the Mongoose Crush or the Magna Invader. Who makes the better bike?

The Mongoose is a better bike if you get it from a bike shop. Any bike sold at Walmart and other department stores are poor quality.
 
Anything from Target or Walmart is going to be junk.Get what you can afford.These bikes are sold in the toy department for a reason.
If you want quality, you'll have to go to a bike shop.
