a) carefully, logically, bluntly critiquing individual aspects of beliefs or policies held or enacted by a party or politician with which you happen to disagree, then hopefully providing a politically neutral source in order to prove your point in an intellectually honest manner, or

b) separating yourself from both reality and sanity by lobbing vicious, childish verbal attacks toward your general opposition for the sole purpose of demonizing them in the eyes of your peers, while contributing absolutely no relevant information to the conversation, then proclaiming victory without so much as acknowledging your opponent's reasoning, let alone proving them wrong
