Which is more accurate in terms of the creation of earth? Science or religion?

i dont know but i had this chat with my friends during lunch and msot of them disagreed with me about science creating earth instead of god. i mean i think god is not evne real and plus science gives evidence about it. i mean, without science who will aid us from diseases and ilnesses. of course science, because we ahve created medicine/vitamins we need ot cure each other from this. but i do believe in god, jsut not in the terms of it creating the people and everything in this world. what do you guys think?
 
I have to disagree--only a little, science did not create the earth. Science is a study of how things work and takes many forms of study. You have biology, astronomy, genetics, etc.. There are many areas of scientific research. Cosmology, in addition to astronomy, studies the universe and the evolution of planets, stars, galaxies, etc.. According to natural law, these are the laws that govern how everything works in the universe, including evolution, the earth and other planets evolved over time. The big bang is how we believe the universe came into being. Space was an empty void and then some cataclysmic event triggered a monstrous explosion that began space on its expansion and set the stage for the formation of everything in it, even life on earth. It did not happen all at once but over millions and billions of years. Even light took several million years to evolve enough for light to exist as we have come to know it. Evolution works. Evolution has been proven. It can be seen in virus and also at the genetic level in humans and other animals on earth. Evolution has been proven to be true, ironically, by a Christian (Google 'Ken Miller') who is the biology professor at Brown University. Evolution is more than theory it is a fact of our life.

Science didn't create earth, man created Science. Science shows us that a high power created earth. That would be God. God created it in a way that we don't know. Maybe when we die and meet Him, He will tell us how He did it all.
 
Science is not about the origin of life, and cannot explain the origin of consciousness. Religion is not about chemistry, physics, and geology, and is not a replacement for science.
 
The big bang is not science. Science is all about observation. You can't observe the big bang or evolution. They can only be called theories. Evoltuion really doesn't have that much proof anyway, though they claim to. The truth is- There is proof of God. The fact that we have creation proves that there is a God. You can't have creation without a creator. Lets say you go and look at a house. By looking at the house you conclude that there had to be a builder because there is a house. You can't say there is no builder because there is a house! The house didn't just appear out of nowhere! Another proof of Jesus' existence, is that secular historians wrote about Jesus in Jesus' time. Like Josephus, Thallus, Pliny the Younger, Polycart, Suctonius, Tacitus, theres more.
