Which is easier--running or exercise bike?

I have a fitness test coming up. I recently fell down the stairs and hurt my foot, so I am given the choice to either:
a) run 1 mile in the gym
b) go on the exercise bike. I'm not sure for how long, though...

I want to know which one would be easier. I'm a terrible runner and I'm only give one week to heal and prepare....

Fitness tests are not made be easy, get a doctors excuse if you don't want to do it.

god
who knows
who the hell told you that anyway?
why don;t they tell you how far to go on the exercise bike?
how are you or we supposed to know?

wle.

Well, if you're a 'terrible runner' and you've got a hurt foot, isn't the answer pretty obvious?

A 10 minute running mile vs 20 minutes on the exercise bike set at moderate resistance and pedaled at 15 mph ought to be about equal.

That's just a wild guess, as I don't run and don't ride an exercise bike.
