which is better L7 or PEBL

i have an audiovox in use right now but its total garbage , and its the size of a brick, its nick named the phone booth.
so wat i wanna kno is wat u guys think is better, a L7 SVLR or the PEBL from motorola. plz
i just dont wanna get scrap like my last phone.

Personally, I am a music person and I love having a music player on my mobile. The L7 has both a music player (iTunes or MP3 depending on the version) and a memory slot (microSD/Transflash). My ROKR E1 came with a 512MB card. I'm not sure what, if any card comes with the L7. If you go with the L7 for music, consider finding the MP3 version and not the iTunes. iTunes limits you to 100 songs.

I've played with both units and I personally enjoy the L7 better.

thanks, i dont kno which version it is, i was thinking of getting it off of "easycell.ca". i dont kno which version that is. u think u could check it out to see if its one of those two...& thanks again.
 
u see now i dont kno wat to do, the L7 the PEBL, or the RAZR, the only reason i didnt say the RAZR b4 is becuz were ever u look now everyone has it,.,.,.,., wat u guys think, im happy to hear wat u alll think.

I think as far as features, the SLVR wins. In 'cuteness' (as my gf would put it) the PEBL wins. IF you want something everyone has and that's a pretty decent phone then get a RAZR. Since they are Moto's they can all be modded pretty easy. I have seen all in person and I must say the PEBL is a pretty sweet looking phone. But is basically a RAZR in a cooler form factor (with a few added improvements).

Personally, I think I am going to get a SLVR for myself and a PEBL for the GF and keep my BB as a data only. Good luck on your decision and I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.

Pros:
- Size of a Razr, without actually being a Razr
- Quad-band
- Expandable memory
- Longer stand-by time than the PEBL

Cons:
- Expandable memory is limited to 512mb
- VGA camera

PEBL:
Pros:
- unique form factor
- quad-band

Cons:
- No expandable memory (only 5mb of internal)
- VGA camera

Personally, I will never go back to Motorolas. I made the switch from Motorola to Sony Ericsson and I will NEVER look back. The only switch I MIGHT make is to Sharp, and that is for their awesome camera.

Since you might be getting it off Easycell.ca, go with the k750i. It is the same price as the PEBL, and is 100000x better. Better camera, expandable memory, and the Sony Ericsson brand quality.
 
the k750i is a phone with some killer features, but the syle itself doesnt hit me like the other one. i like that it has the 2.0 camera, and the flash slot, but the style itself doesnt look great. i want something good with a sexy look. but now i notice cingular has the slvr for 199$ with contract, and that means everyone is going to have it now, just like the RAZR. damn!!

Why do you care what phones people have in the states? $199.99 on a contract for a phone is pretty expensive. Neither the SLVR or the PEBL are available on any provider in Canada (yet) and even if they were, they wouldn't become like the Razr until the price point hits $99.99 on a 3 year contract.

EDIT: What is your max budget? That way we can suggest different phones.
 
Okay, well here is my advice:

Don't just look at places like easycell, check out the BST forums, there are a lot of brand new in box, mint, or near mint phones available for a lot less than retail, and you save on taxes.

If you want something with a cool form factor, check out the Samsung D500, Samsung D600, or Sony Ericsson w600.
 
i checked the bst, and they have an L7, one week old for about 320$, but can i really trust it or will i get screwed and pay for something i wont get, or that doesnt work.
 
Ask the person if they have feedback. Either here or on eBay. You can also check the sections where they list scammers and see if the person you are dealing with is using any of the same info as those people. If you are still hesitant, try to get one local that way you can see it in person before making the purchase.
 
Sometimes there is a MTL (next to thread title) for people selling in that area. Most people don't use that and you will have to click into the thread to find out where the seller is located. Or even worse, PM them.
 
The L7 is a better phone because it has a better formfactor (the PEBL just looks like a V330, check it out) and has more features. The PEBL is a blatant attempt by Motorola to create demand for a cheap product through advertising.
