It's not possible to get diseases from recycled goods. Not that I know of. As for the plastic and paper thing, they are both important because they both help the environment. It's great that you actually care. Keep recycling both and don't worry about other details that occur beyond the recycling bin. All you need to worry about is the fact that you actually do recycle. If it was really that dangerous to recycle plastic, it would be all over the news, there would be caution signs all over the place, and it would probably be made illegal to recycle it. I assure you there's nothing like that. So keep doing what you're doing to help the environment. Trust me, it'll be worth it for your great great grandchildren. LOL!
