something you're passionate about? This question destroys me.

I am going to be a Gr.12 student next year and of course I have to choose post secondary education. I am good at statistics - Actually let me rephrase, I'm great at math. And I could make great money working for the gov't. However, I am looking into Disability Studies and it is something I am passionate about as an epileptic because I know that I could get a job and get into a non-profit or a gov't office and make a difference.

So the question stands, when choosing a career do you chose what you are good at, or what you are passionate about?

People usually become passionate about something because they're good at it; not the other way around. If you're great at Maths, count your blessings. Not everyone has such talent. Don't waste it. Anyway, these options are not necessarily mutually exclusive. There may be room for a mathematician in some area of Disability Services. Check it out. Also, you may be able to combine your studies in both fields.
