Which is better for off road? Honda Ridgeline, or new 4 door Jeep Wrangler?

I like both vehicles, but I like how the Honda is going to be very reliable. but I like the look of the 4 door wrangler better. The use would be modest off roading, no rock crawling really. It will be in desert terrain, but we do have monsoon season sometimes. You can assume that about $3,000.00 or so will be invested in either to make it perform better too, so add that into the equation. Thanks in advance!
 
Buy the jeep. I worked in the mountains for years and prefer it to any other for off road reliability. P.S. If you purchase a 4x4, occasionally run it in four wheel drive, on a dirt road or in the rain if possible. Not using the 4 wheels makes it wear out faster. Also be sure to rotate tires regularly, 4 by 4's need more rotation, like front wheel drive cars.
 
A honda ridgeline is a joke for any offroad activity.. it seems to almost have a regular car suspension.. It cant even get a lift kit.. I would go with the jeep.. it looks nice and its very universal with that u can do with it.. i mean cmon its a JEEP..built for the offroad!!
