Which is better for college a Pontiac G6 (V6) or a VW Jetta (5 cyl.)?

I am a senior in high school and my parents are going to be buying me a car for college. Right now i have a 97 F150 which is a guzzler i want something speedy and decent on gas. I don't want a 4 cyl. car. There are two cars at a local dealership that interest me on being a VW Jetta (5cyl) and the other a Pontiac G6 (V6). They are both 2007's with low miles. Which one would be a better car for college? Thanks.
 
a 1970 charger with a blown 528 hemi no but really id go with the g6 more power and milage probly easyer and cheaper to fix
