Which is better - AT&T or Verizon?

I currently have AT&T, am due for an upgrade and have few complaints. However, my fiance (who is on a family plan with me) gets a 15% discount on voice and data plans with Verizon through his company. In your opinion, which is better? Do not take into consideration the iPhone or any other phones. I want to know which is better price-wise and service-wise.

Depends on where you are at. I think AT&t has a better pricing plan with its roll over minutes, and also on Verizon try sending a text around 3-7 on a Friday night he in SoCal (it takes 10 to 15 mins to get thru). Check out their coverage map, At&t does have better phones....

Verizon is better. I currently have AT&T but it keeps dropping calls and never has signal, when all my friends do. But If you want the iPhone, which I did, you have to stay with AT&T.

My roommates all have Verizon and I have AT&T and I'm the only one that gets service in our building. I've seen the same thing happen in multiple situations.. so I would say AT&T for more coverage.. but if you can get a discount on Verizon.. well that changes things a bit. You should probably calculate exactly how much each will cost you with what add-ons you need like messaging or a data plan.

service wise, verizon is much better. price wise, it could be a tie. my parents have AT&T and their bill costs less, only because they never text and they don't have internet on their phones. however AT&&T has a better selection of phones. i really prefer verizon, because AT&T does often drop calls and their 3G network thing isn't very reliable. Verizon hardly ever drops calls and i get service in more places.
