Which is better - at&t or verizon?

Ok, i need to like a family plan.. there's going to be 3 people and at least 200 calling minutes not that much, but i need unlimited texting.... can i have it so theres only 1 phone that has unlimited because there's 3 people but only i text and its the only way i talk.... so like is that possible and which is better at&t or verizon......

also i live in hawaii and on my island theres only at&t and verizon, well theres others but those two are the best service here...
