My utility :

Internet Browsing & Messengers (Gtalk, Yahoo, Skype, MSN, AIM, Facebook, all...)
Songs (.Flac or .wav format is preferred [Mandatory may be])
Camera/Video (Want to replace my camera with phone)
MS Office & PDF Reader (Like abode reader)
Games
Manage Office (Online Stuff)
Google Maps

Primary :

Samsung Gallaxy S (Or any better gallaxy version)
HTC Desire
Sony Xperia (x10? or latest)

Secondary :

iPhone 4 (Which ever is latest)
N80 / N900 / N97 Mini / N8 (But I don't think this matches with Gallaxy)
Porsche - p9522 (Friend Suggestion. NO Idea)
Samsung Wave
Etc,...

Doubts :

GPRS/GSM needed for Google Maps is free?
Also Internet packages along with phone packages which is good for India?

I want a all-in-one good mobile that works awesome. I am not an expert in mobiles, so please ignore my lack of knowledge.

Also people say some applications cost and they use pirated, Is that needed? And what supports that? Or all applications needed are usually free?

Please help me chose a good Mobile.

Thanks in advance Great Members!

You are the only one to determine what is the best for you. Which devices does your cell carrier sell or support. That might be the place to start looking.

Best for me isn't on your list - BB 9800.

Does'nt all phones support all SIMs? In India I don't think they have carrier tie ups like this...
We buy phone, we buy any sim, we use.

Or am I wrong?

I can read from the way you wrote your post and between the lines, you're leaning to the Galaxy S.

The three Android phones you mentioned does come with some apps that can handle MS Office files and read PDF.

Since you also mentioned free, you definitely need to go Android, which has the most free apps.

It boils down to two things, the Galaxy S or the HTC Desire. Both have pluses and minuses, though my personal preference is the HTC Desire, as it feels like the smoother and nicer to hold, more expensive phone. It feels less buggy too. The Galaxy S has a better, larger, more sensitive screen which is its biggest draw, and there is many things said about its Hummingbird CPU. Also has more memory to store apps. But I feel its Android implementation overall lacks the polish that HTC has.

So my opinion, the HTC Desire.

So I have to buy only within India. I cannot get the same phone at lower price from malasya ?

Also I guess this is what we have to conclude to :

Speed, CPU & Performance - Samsung Galaxy S
Bugs Free, Professional, Cosy Look, Outlook - Desire
Screen, Video, Games - Samsung Galaxy S
Thickness - Samsung (Sleek)
Breakability - Desire (Strong)
Battery - Samsung
Applications - Both
Anroid OS - Latest in Desire
Browsing - Samsung

Am I right? Anything i missed?

So if we want good looking one and safe, Desire and functions and performance Galaxy. Am I right?

Just about right, except for the games. This may depend game to game, but some games might need a trackpad or trackball which the Galaxy S doesn't have.

Let me add one more thing. Its an important as everything else. While the Desire and the Galaxy S are both Android, they seem to have very different personalities, a reflection of HTC and Samsung.

HTC feels very professional, businesslike, even masculine. Its also quite Western in its design tastes, even though its from Taiwan. So their phone interfaces and device colors are all monochromatic, uses a lot of black and white like a business suit. They love understating and for that reason, quite elegant.

Samsung is very Eastern in its aesthetics. Like handsets from Japan and Korea, they just love bright colors, neons and pinks, cute, fancy, and cartoonish stuff. Some people like it, some people are turned off with it. Like anime, its an acquired taste. Samsung loves to sell phones to the young, to women. You can feel the difference of these two companies by the way they do TV commercials. HTC is very social oriented, Samsung, always edgy. HTC would run a press conference to introduce a phone full of press technorati and bloggers, Samsung would use Korean boy bands and cute pretty models.

Let's take for example, the built in SMS app. On HTC its black and white. In Samsung, its this neon green color. Again, two phones with very different personalities.

Again, its your sense of aesthetics and personal appeal too.
