Which is a better purchase the Mazda 6 or the Mercedes C350 Sport?

This question may appear a little vague, so here is a bit of clarity. I am not that familiar with Mazda's and am not sure if they will hold up in the long run in comparison to the Mercedes, I have observed Mercedes owners to keep their cars longer. Which is a better purchase in the long run...
 
It's your choice. Do you want to say I own a Mercedes Benz or a Mazda? I personally would go for the Benz so I don't look like everyone else in their Japanese cars! MB warranty is 48 months or 50,000 miles, Mazda is 36 months 36,000 miles. The warranty alone will tell you the C350 is the more reliable car, and the Germans are very hard on their cars, i.e. Autobahn extended speeds. Mazda can't compare to the German engineering. Also, the resale value of a MB will be much better than a Mazda.
 
The Mazda6 will cost you less to maintain in the long run. They are also much more reliable than the C350, which has suffered a lot of quality/reliability issues recently.
