W whyhuhwhy New member Aug 27, 2009 #1 ...a thumb gadget to clear? Although icecream stores use the crescent style..aerodynamically, it leaves air in the middle unless they roll it like a snowball..but you're paying for an air pocket in the middle..I like a solid scoop!

A A Canadian New member Aug 27, 2009 #2 The one with the thumb gadget is way better but make sure it is metal and has a strong spring. The plastic ones are too easily broken.
