I'm re-re-repainting my house.
The eves on my house are again needing re-scraping, undercoating and top-coating.
The WEATHER BEATER (Sears)(r) product I thought would last - for "the 25 year guarantee" lasted only two years!
%This time, in aim to SEAL the wood, should I reuse the KILZ primer and then topcoat or should I consider using another (more expensive) mixture of Primer/topcoat - and let that permeate the bare wood?
Which brand is BEST to last though the torrential heat, dryness, hurricane-speed winds, bitter cold and monsoon rainshowers of the Texas panhandle (all occasionally happening during the same 24 hour time period!)
I do use a water base paint for this. - I know that an oil base is primarily for indoor use. - Indoors is fine!
I need to recoat my eves, on which the paint is cracking and allowing the moisture underneath the paint.
