The only really scary American movies I've watched were The Sixth Sense, The Grudge, and the Exorcist.
I've watched some Asian scary movies, and they are scarier.. one is The Hometown Legends.. they seem like true stories to me.
You need to have knowledge of both styles in order to answer.. not just because it's what you like.
