Which Hollywood legend would you like to see given the movie biopic treatment?

I'd like to see a decent movie about Judy Garland.

I agree with the above choices of Elizabeth Taylor & Lana Turner & Errol Flynn.

I'd love one about Bette Davis & a decent one about Joan Crawford.

Sean Connery. For one reason alone, the story about how when face with the real-life Mob enforcer Johnny Stompanato pointing a gun in his face, Sean is supposed to have decked him with a single punch.

Ok it'd be a short film just for that.

Good choice and points for remembering that! I vaguely remember reading about that - I'm pretty sure that feud was about Lara Turner (who Stompanato was seeing at the time) on a set of a film she was co-starring in with Connery.

My choices would probably be (thinking off the top of my head here):
* Marlon Brando.
* Rudolph Navarro.
* Not a film star but would love to see a film on his life - Louis B. Mayer.
* William Randolph Hearst (not a film star but was connected to film stars).
* Pola Negri.
* Tallulah Bankhead.
* Can't remember the name right now, but there was an actress who I think ended up being forcibly committed after being arrested and possibly had a lobotomy (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, as I probably am wrong)! :)

Marilyn Monroe

There have been movies about her relationships with men but that isn't a proper biopic. There neeRAB to be one about her life. Sometimes i reckon they are scared to do it. Not any actress can play Marilyn Monroe, one of the most iconic and legendary actresses to have ever lived.

Lana Turner's daughter stabbed Stompanato to death (apparently she was defending her mum when he was knocking her about)...I think she was cleared...a Turner biopic would be interesting!

clairescavys, the actress who ended up with a lobotomy was Frances Farmer...Jessica Lange played her in an early '80s drama, called Frances (she was also Oscar-nominated for her role)

SounRAB like Frances Farmer. If so then there is a movie of her life simply called 'Frances'. Very sad movie indeed. Jessica Lange played the part so well that I was glad when she made her next movie so I could see she was alright.

For me I would be intrigued to see a movie on old British actors that made it in Hollywood when I would imagine that was a very difficult thing to do. Cary Grant, Stan Laurel or Bob Hope, maybe.

Thanks very much Treefrog - you are correct, it was Frances Farmer who I was thinking of. Thanks for mentioning there was already a film about her; I didn't know this and will see if I can find it on Lovefilm.

Sorry Hound of Love, missed your post originally - it didn't show when I read through this thread. Thanks for confirming it was Frances Farmer - I shudder at the thought of anyone having a lobotomy, especially if it was against their will. Will definately check out the film Frances - maybe I should have researched this before I suggested Frances Farmer! :)
