Which has best reception? L6/L7/6280/D600/W600/W810/??

I'm in California, USA on the West Coast with T-Mobile and am primarily concerned with Quad-band reception (I live in an area with spotty reception). which phones listed above have the best reception or are there others with better reception?

its CA. they should all work, but since you said it was a little spotty

thanks for your reply but nokias are only tri-band wouldn't it be better to get a quad-band?

The only reason that you would need a quadband phone is if you travel internationally. Here in the US we only use two bands 850MHZ and 1900MHz. T-Mobile uses the 1900MHZ for its servic but has roaming agreements with other carriers that use the 850Mhz band in some areas.

As the other poster said, we only use 2 GSM bands in the US & Canada. The other 2 bands are used in other parts of the world (such as Europe).

So no difference between tri/quad band in US/Canada reception, but maybe a difference if you traveled about in Europe, etc.

Well...I mispoke about the tri/quad thing. Just make sure it has bands 850/1900, as those are the 2 used in the US.

If you have enough native coverage from Tmobile, which you can check on their site, you only need to worry about the 1900mhz band.

Triband normally means - 900/1800/1900

Quad - 850/900/1800/1900


So you really dont NEEEEED a quad band phone since you are on Tmobile, but having one could be nice.


Knowing this, choose a phone you like to your self because you probably wont need the 850.
